From September 25–29, HSE University-Moscow hosted International Partners’ Week. Annually, HSE University gathers representatives of the world’s leading universities and academic supervisors of HSE educational programmes from campuses in Moscow, St Petersburg, Nizhny Novgorod and Perm. The participants of International Partners’ Week discuss development trends in the system of higher education and find opportunities for implementing new directions of cooperation between universities.

On April 8–10, HSE University-St Petersburg will hold the fifth Model United Nations conference (MUN). The event will take place offline in English and both current and prospective students can participate. The application deadline is March 15. Read on to learn more and find out what to expect from the conference.

Evgeny Akulov and Evgeniya Zubko, graduates of the Bachelor's programme 'Political Science and World Politics', took part in the World Universities Debating Championships Belgrade 2022. They qualified for the playoffs and were ranked among the top 10 teams in the category 'English as a Foreign Language'.

In the previous interview with the programme's Academic Supervisor we mentioned a promising academic collaboration between HSE University – Saint Petersburg and the University of Milan. More about how the signed agreement on the double degree track will allow the programme's best students to study in Italy for at least a semester and obtain two diplomas issued by both universities tell Ksenia Tenisheva and Prof. Luigi Curini.

Every year many students from various regions of the world apply to the BA program in Political Science at HSE University. Our first-year students have shared their reasons to join the program, as well as their first impressions of the university and country.

In the 2021-2022 academic year, the master's program «Business and Politics in Modern Asia» will open a new online course dedicated to the study and comparative analysis of the Asian and European labour markets. The discipline was developed with the Hamburg University of Applied Sciences. Teachers and authors of the course – Prof. Veselova and Prof. Ribberink –  told us about the content of the discipline, its importance for students, and their expectations.

On March 25, 2021, Mr Pascal Sliwanski, the Consul General of France in St Petersburg, and Mrs Eva Bertrand, Cooperation Adviser, paid a visit to HSE campus in St Petersburg to meet the team of the university and discuss collaboration prospects. The university was represented by Prof Sergey Kadochnikov, Prof Irina Shchemeleva, Prof Elena Rogova, Ms Elena Vandysheva and the team of the International Office.

The international ambassador project is one of the leading projects by the International Office of HSE University — St. Petersburg. This project helps create awareness about the University in various countries and hometowns. Ibuowo Grace, a fourth-year student of the BA Programme 'Political Science and World Politics' who is serving her second year as the international student ambassador of HSE University, told us about her experience.

On 16 February, 18:00, MA programmes «Comparative Politics of Eurasia» and «Comparative Russian and Eurasian Politics» invite you to participate in the round table on peace research in and with Central Eurasia.

Aruuke Uran Kyzy, a second-year student in the graduate Programme ‘Comparative Politics of Eurasia’ at HSE University — St. Petersburg, a journalist and a contributing analyst in the field of Politics of Eurasia, talks us through her experience.
